Muzaffarnagar: A 30-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped by two men after being offered lift in their car at Kandela village in Shamli district, police said today.
According to a complaint lodged by the victim, the incident happened yesterday when the two men came at a bus stand where the woman was waiting to catch a ride to Shamli. The men offered her lift in their car.
Later, the duo brought her to a forested area in Kandela village under Kairana police station and gangraped her, police said.
A case has been registered in this connection and an operation launched to nab the 'unidentified' accused, according to SHO V P Singh.
The victim has been sent for medical examination, Singh added.
