Hyundai Motors to stop production of Santro
Reports said the company's most sucessful model will drive into the sunset by end of November. Nevertheless, Hyundai will continue to provide sales, service and spare parts of the products.

New Delhi: South Korean major automoker Hyundai Motors will soon end the production of one of its most popular cars, Santro, in India, a car that has become synonym with the company.
Reports said the company will drive its most successful model into the sunset by end of November. Nevertheless, Hyundai will continue to provide sales, service and spare parts of the products.
The company plans to concentrate on newer products such at the i10 and Eon, sources said.
The Hyundai Santro became the 'Sunshine car' of millions of Indian households after it was launched in October 1998 with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as its brand ambassador.
The South Korean automaker has reportedly sold over 18 lakh units of Santro globally with the company having sold as many as over 13 lakh units in India alone.
The end of Santro comes in a time when other automakers in the country are driving some of their major products into the sunset.
These include Chevrolet Spark, Maruti 800, Toyota Qualis, Bajaj Scooter and the iconic Ambassador of Hindustan Motors.
