Kapil Sharma-Ginni Chatrath wedding: All you need to know

New Delhi: Television's funnyman Kapil Sharma is set to tie the knot with longtime girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on December 12, 2018. The wedding preps are in full swing and the family is busy making this day a memorable one for the couple. Kapil had introduced his would-be life partner to the world on social media some time back but little is known about Ginni as yet.

The ace comedian's longtime partner recently opened up about her relationship with Kapil in an interview with DNA, where she talked about how she first fell in love with the king of comedy and would bring home-cooked food for him back in college.

When asked about why she disappeared from the TV scene after featuring with Kapil on reality show 'Hans Baliye', Ginni said, “I wanted to concentrate on my MBA. After completing my studies, I started helping my father in his business and was busy.”

Talking about her love story, Ginni added, “The first time I saw Kapil was back in my college in Punjab. There were theatre auditions going on, and he was impressed by my acting skills. We regularly kept meeting, since he was directing plays in my college, and that’s how our love story bloomed.”

She added, “I always knew he was the one; In fact, I was the one who fell in love with him. I would take home-made food (with some help from my mom) for him during college days.”

When quizzed about the wedding, Ginni said, “You are never prepared till the time you are sitting in the mandap! Shaadi preparations are on in full throttle, and more than Kapil and I, our families are excited. I will go for the traditional lehenga, while Kapil is yet to decide what he is going to wear.”

Also, the ace comedian will resume work immediately after marriage. So, this means no honeymoon for the couple. Ginni said, “No, Kapil will resume shooting for the show immediately after the wedding and I’m okay with it, as this is the time for him to work hard and post that, we can have as many honeymoons as we want.”

The duo's marriage will take place at Ginni's hometown in Phagwara, Punjab. Later, the couple will host a reception in Mumbai for friends and industry people.
