New Delhi: Actor Ranveer Singh sustained an injury to his shoulder during a football match, the actor's spokesperson said. However, despite his injury, the actor did not let his work hamper the shooting schedule of Zoya Akhtar's 'Gully Boy'.

"Ranveer Singh has injured his shoulder during a football match and has been advised not to over-strain it for at least one month," his spokesperson said in a statement. He added that despite the doctor's advise, the actor is not taking any breaks and will continue shooting for 'Gully Boy' as per schedule."

Interestingly, the female lead of 'Gully Boy', Alia Bhatt also suffered an injury to her shoulder while she was in Bulgaria shooting for 'Brahmastra'. That being so, both the lead stars of the film are currently nursing their injured shoulder.

Meanwhile, Ranveer was also supposed to perform at the grand premiere of Indian Premier League 2018 on April 7. However, considering his injury, it is unlikely that the actor will perform at the ceremony.

The spokesperson stated that Ranveer is in consultation with doctors who will advise him if he can perform at the ceremony or not.

Meanwhile, besides Ranveer, stars like Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandes, Parineeti Chopra will be seen performing at the opening ceremony. A few days back, there were reports suggesting that Ranveer Singh will be paid a whopping Rs 5 crores for a 15-minute performance. He, however, was not the highest paid performers in the evening as Varun Dhawan will be paid over Rs 6 crores by the organisers for his act, said reports.
