New Delhi: Ahead of the final qualifying match of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 between favourites Bangladesh and proverbial giant-killers Oman, let's have a look at five players who are likely to perform today at Dharamsala.
Tamim Iqbal: The Bangladesh opener is a threat to any side, even to Test playing sides. It will take some brilliance or a bit of luck to Oman to restrict this left-handed batsman. In the previous two matches, he has scored 83 not out and 47.
Shakib Al Hasan: He is the biggest star taking the field today at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala. He has the experience and guile to frustrate any team. Oman will be wary of the threat this all-rounder carries. Shakib will use this match as a practice match ahead of meeting the big boys.
Mahmudullah Riyad: What do you say about him. A match-winner per excellence. However, he hasn't been offered the chances to showcase his full utility so far in the qualifiers. We might well see Mahmudullah's brilliance today.
Amir Ali: It's hard to pick a player from the Oman ranks when they are pitted against a side like Bangladesh. It's shame that the Tigers were forced to play the qualifiers. Anyway, Amir Ali is one Oman player who could surprise Bangladesh. His ability to ball a bit and bat bit will come handy against a dominant, hungry side, which is tend to make errors.
Zeeshan Maqsood: The opener brings in class in the Oman line-up. He is capable of playing attacking game, and also the waiting game. If he fires today, Oman have a realistic chance to test Bangladesh.
