WATCH: Antoine Griezmann's two goals that denied Germany ticket to Euro final

New Delhi: Germany's dream of reaching yet another major final was shattered on Friday as they were handed a 2-0 defeat by hosts France in the semis of Euro 2016.

Joachim Loew's men, currently the world champions, were undone by Les Blue despite dominating major parts of the game.

On the stroke of half-time, Didier Deschamps men earned a penalty much to the delight of the home crowd.

Italian referee Nicola Rizzoli was of the opinion that German captain Bastian Schweinsteiger handled the ball.

In-form Antoine Griezmann converted the chance, giving France a 1-0 lead.

Griezmann added to Germany's woes by scoring again in the 72nd minute of the game.

France will now take on Portugal in final to be played on July 10.
