Andhra police initiative, Disha App's SoS facility lands harasser in jail
In a first result of the "Disha App'' an initiative of the Andhra Pradesh police to help women in distress, an assistant professor was caught within six minutes after a woman sent the SoS message from her mobile, early Wednesday morning.

Disha police stations, SOS mobile app for emergency response launched in AP
18 Disha police stations will soon be set up in all 13 districts of the state with a budget of Rs 21.10 crore. Each police station will be headed by a deputy superintendent of police.

Delhi government has shown interest in Disha Act: AP Assembly Speaker
Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram has said that the Delhi government has shown interest in the state`s recently passed Disha Act which enables death penalty for rape and reduces the judgement period in such matter to 21 working days.

Kerala to look into Disha Act for safety of women
Women activists in Kerala time and again, whenever cases of attack on women and children are reported, have demanded that laws have to be spruced up here and also pointed out that the trial in the case have to be speeded up so that justice is delivered to the victims.
