Mumbai: After ‘Jannat 2’, actress Esha Gupta is gearing up for the release of her second film ‘Raaz 3’, with Bipasha Basu as her co-star. She isn`t worried about the latter`s presence and is confident about carving a niche for herself."I am pretty confident and I know where I am today. I don`t want to compare myself with Bipasha. Even when we are sharing screen space, the only thing that I make sure is that I don`t lack anywhere," Esha told IANS.
Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film also features Emraan Hashmi in a prominent role.
Esha, who made her debut with ‘Jannat 2’, admits sharing screen space with established actors like Emraan and Bipasha did put some pressure on her.
"I had pressure on me as Bipasha and Emraan are great actors but apart from that I didn`t care so much because Bipasha is Bipasha and the whole country recognises her. I still get shocked when people start recognising me," she said.
"For me, it (`Raaz 3`) was one of the best films to work in," she said and added that other perks were collaborating with Vikram Bhatt, being part of a big franchise like ‘Raaz’ and also working for producers - Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt.
"It was a conscious effort to do this. Of course, I had pressure as I was not sure whether I will be able to pull it," she added.
She is not shying away from taking risks by doing different kind of roles.
"Honestly right now I am going for different kind of characters. It doesn`t matter whether it`s a big role or small role. For me, everything is a risk because if I don`t take a risk, where will I reach? It`s not about playing safe. Among all the options that I got, this was one of the best," she said.
