New Delhi: The president of the Delhi unit of the Congress Party, Ajay Maken, on Monday said that the allegations of molestation against AAP leader Kumar Vishwas are very serious in nature, and demanded a thorough investigation on it.
"These are very serious allegations; there must be a thorough investigation on this. It is a serious issue," said Maken.
Another Congress leader Shobha Oza said strict action needed to be taken against Vishwas if he was found guilty.
"This must be investigated thoroughly, if found guilty Kumar Vishwas must be punished," she said.
Vishwas had unsuccessfully contested against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi from Amethi in the general elections.
According to reports, the victim's husband has threatened to divorce her.
