CISF returns Rs 1.5 laks to two persons who lost the money

CISF officials have returned over Rs 1.5 lakh cash to two persons who had forgotten to pick up their bags containing the money while commuting at the Delhi Metro network.

New Delhi: CISF officials have returned over Rs 1.5 lakh cash to two persons who had forgotten to pick up their bags containing the money while commuting at the Delhi Metro network.

The first incident was reported yesterday from the Jhilmil Metro station where a Shahdara resident forgot to collect his bag containing Rs 52,000 cash before entering the coach while in the second incident at the Aerocity station, a Chhattisgarh-based man did not remember to collect his bag containing Rs 1 lakh cash and a mobile phone.

"In both the incidents, the unattended bags were put for anti-sabotage checks and after recovery of the cash their rightful owners were restored with their belongings," a senior Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) official said.
