New Delhi: The authorities on Thursday ordered the evacuation of Modern School following a bomb threat call regarding the school located in North Delhi's Vasant Vihar.
All students and teaching staff were safely evacuated by the authorities.
A bomb disposal squad was also immediately rushed to the Modern School. Top officers of the Delhi Police also reached the spot to take stock of the situation.
An anti-sabotage check was also conducted to trace if there was any explosive device hidden in the school premises.
Situation is said to be normal now and there is no need to panic, said Delhi Police on bomb threat call.
However, it later turned out to be a hoax call.
Delhi Police informed that threat call to s Modern School was hoax as nothing was found after massive checking.
The police is now trying to determine who made the hoax call and from where.
As per media reports, the city police had received two bomb threat calls - one for Modern School and another for Jet Airways Delhi-Gorakhpur flight.
