New Delhi: A five-foot long cobra was rescued on Monday from the JNU campus after it was found entangled in a synthetic net outside the nursery at the National Institute of Plant Genome Research.
The snake is currently under observation and will be released into its natural habitat once deemed fit.
"Nursery workers at the National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR) were shocked to find a large cobra, inextricably tangled in a net outside the sprawling campus nursery. The workers informed the staff who then contacted the Wildlife SOS Rapid response unit," a statement said.
A two-member rescue team extricated the snake and transferred it into a safety container.
