Narendra Modi most popular for PM`s post in Delhi, Haryana: Zee-Taleem Poll Survey

Bharatiya Janata Party`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi emerged as the preferred choice for the PM`s post, whereas Aam Aadmi Party`s Arvind Kejriwal and Congress` Rahul Gandhi emerged second in the states of Delhi and Haryana respectively in a pre-poll survey conducted by Zee Media Corp commissioned through Taleem Research Foundation.

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi emerged as the preferred choice for the PM`s post, whereas Aam Aadmi Party`s Arvind Kejriwal and Congress` Rahul Gandhi emerged second in the states of Delhi and Haryana respectively in a pre-poll survey conducted by Zee Media Corp commissioned through Taleem Research Foundation.

In Delhi, Narendra Modi was the preferred choice of 41.3 percent respondents as best Prime Minister while 27.7 percent voted for Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal. The third name mentioned by 10.2 percent voters is Rahul Gandhi.

The Bharatiya Janta Party is poised to win 4 seats, AAP could emerge victorious on two seats. Congress` tally could be reduced to one solitary seat.

The survey was conducted with sample size of 480 voters.

In Haryana, Narendra Modi was the preferred choice of 43.2 percent respondents as best Prime Minister (more by rural voters 49.2 percent than 33.3 percent urban voters) while 29.9 percent voted for Rahul Gandhi (23.4 percent rural and 40.6 percent urban). The third name mentioned by 8.6 percent voters is Arvind Kejriwal (6.4 percent rural and 12.2 percent urban) followed by 8.1 percent Mayawati (10.0 percent rural and 5.0 percent urban).

Basically in Haryana, there is a multi-cornered contest in which 29.4 percent voted for BJP followed by INC (28.8 percent) and INLD (20 percent). Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been favoured by 8.6 percent voters. BSP has been also voted by 8.1 percent voters. The important point to be noted is that very few voters are undecided or have decided to choose NOTA (None of the above).

The Bharatiya Janta Party is poised to win 3 seats, INC could bag 3, INLD could scalp 2,
BSP and AAP could emerge victorious on one seat each.

The survey was conducted with sample size of 480 voters.
