New Delhi: Supporting the campaign against beef consumption, Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh's Muslim wing Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) will organise milk parties across the country from March.

According to a Hindustan Times report, MRM opposes those whom it alleges have used 'beef eating' for political gains.

“It is unfortunate that some political parties are using beef-eating as an excuse to divide the people of this country,” Mohammad Afzal of the MRM was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

The MRM along with 'milk parties' will also hold prayers for peace and harmony in the country.

“From February 18 to 25, the Ayat-e-Karima will be recited at venues across the country to pray for peace in the country. We want tolerance and secularism in this country and not bloodshed on account of terrorism, therefore, prayers will be recited 1.25 lakh times as part of the Ayat-e-Karima for wish fulfilment,” Afzal further added.

Meanwhile, MRM also has plans to bridge the gap between Hindu and Muslim groups on the issue of construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
