Hyderabad: The Telangana anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Wednesday quizzed party leader Vem Narendar Reddy for around six hours in connection with cash-for-vote case and served a fresh notice to the party legislator Sandra Venkata Veeraiah.

Narendar Reddy appeared at the ACB office in Banjara Hills here after being served a notice by the probe agency and was questioned for around six hours.

"...Yes, he was questioned...He is let off," additional superintendent of police (ACB) M Malla Reddy told PTI.

Narendar Reddy, who had unsuccessfully contested the Telangana Legislative Council election held on June 1, claimed that he had not anything wrong.

"I have not done anything wrong....It's a conspiracy against me....I answered all their (ACB) questions," he said, after leaving the ACB office.

He said that he would cooperate with the probe agency and appear before it whenever it wants.

ACB today also issued a fresh notice to TDP MLA from Sattupally, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah.

The notice, pasted outside his house here, read, "...You are hereby requested to appear before the ACB as you are acquainted with the facts and circumstances of this case."

It further said that he was to appear at ACB office before 5 PM on June 19.

The ACB officials last night had issued notices to both Veeraiah and Narendar Reddy.

On May 31, Revanth Reddy, Bishop Harry Sebastian and R Uday Simha were caught by the ACB while allegedly paying a bribe of Rs 50 lakh to Elvis Stephenson, a nominated MLA, for supporting the TDP candidate (Narendar Reddy) in the election next day.

Meanwhile, Stephenson and two others appeared before a magistrate here to record their statements. Stephenson has lodged a complaint with ACB alleging that he was offered the bribe to vote in favour of TDP nominee.

In another development, the Hyderabad High Court posted the bail applications of Revanth Reddy and two others to June 24 for hearing.

Earlier in the day, ACB Director General A K Khan met the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and briefed him about the progress of investigation.
