Mumbai City FC parts ways with assistant coach Oscar Bruzon

Mumbai: Mumbai City FC has "mutually" parted ways with its assistant coach Spaniard Oscar Bruzon with immediate effect, the Indian Super League (ISL) franchise said on Sunday.

"There were differences in our football philosophy and both sides feel it's best to part ways amicably. The decision is a mutual one. We thank Oscar for all his help and support and wish him all the best for future endeavours," Indranil Das Blah, CEO of the franchise said in a statement.

Bruzon said he will have fond memories of his association with the team.

"Honour means respecting my club, its players, the owners and the fans. I am proud of what I have done for the club in the little time I've spent here and I know that the club feels the same way," he said in the statement.

"I would like to conclude by saying that it's been an absolute honour and matter of pride being part of the Mumbai City FC family."

Mumbi City FC are currently coached by Frenchman Nicolas Anelka, who is also their marquee player. They are fourth on the points table with 11 points from eight matches.
