Uttar Pradesh schools and colleges to reopen from February 7 as Covid-19 cases

UP government has allowed schools to reopen for classes 9 to 12 from Monday. Many other states are gradually starting to reopen schools, colleges and other educational institutions. The Centre has issued revised guidelines for the reopening of schools, colleges and other educational institutions.

Social distancing is to be maintained at all times in the staff rooms, office area, assembly hall and other common areas. Schools are advised not to undertake any school events where social distancing will not be possible. All students and staff must come to school wearing a face cover/mask and continue wearing it throughout the day.

Colleges, universities to re-open in UP from this date; check other details

Uttar Pradesh government has decided to reopen all degree colleges and other educational institutions of higher learning from February 15 with COVID-19 guidelines in place. All the institutes have been directed to ensure sanitation and thermal scanning procedures.

First-year classes for session 2020-21 to commence from November 1: UGC

The UGC has directed the educational institutions to complete merit/entrance-based admission process by October 2020. The guidelines also stated that in case of delay in the declaration of results of the qualifying examinations, the universities may start the session from November 18, says the latest guidelines issued by the UGC. According to the guidelines, the last date for admissions to fill up the remaining vacant seats will be November 31.
