Eight Charged Under Emirates Cricket Board Anti-Corruption Code
ICC was appointed by the ECB as the Designated Anti-Corruption Official (DACO) for the purposes of the ECB’s Code for this tournament and as such are issuing these charges on the ECB’s behalf

BCCI, Emirates Cricket Board sign MoU to boost cricketing ties
The UAE is currently hosting the 2020 edition of the IPL after the BCCI decided to move it from India due to hike in coronavirus cases in the country. The 13th season of the tournament will take place from September 19 to November 10 behind closed doors across three venues of UAE namely Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. Defending champions Mumbai Indians will take on three-time winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2020 opener in what would be the repeat of last year's final.

Two UAE players charged for breaching ICC anti-corruption code
United Arab Emirates (UAE) players Amir Hayat and Ashfaq Ahmed now have 14 days to respond to the charges. The two players have been provisionally suspended after being charged with five counts of breaching the ICC Code of Conduct. In October last year, the ECB had suspended Ashfaq during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier but no formal charges had been laid so far.

Emirates Cricket Board gets BCCI's official clearance to host IPL 2020
The much-awaited tournament that was added to the list of sporting events being postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak will be played in three UAE cities namely Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. The 13th edition of IPL is scheduled to begin from September 19. Final will be played on November 10.

Last week, IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed that the league will take place in the UAE from September 19, with the final taking place on November 8.

A press release by the ICC on Tuesday stated that the 38-year-old had been charged under article 2.1.1, 2.1.4 and 2.4.4 of the ECB's Anti-Corruption Code.
