The talks will focus on carrying forward their discussions on the disengagement process in eastern Ladakh. Uneasy calm prevails at LAC as Indian Army prepares for harsh winter

The situation remains calm at LAC since the Moscow pact between Indian and Chinese foreign ministers but Indian Army is preparing for a long haul as winters are about to set in in the region. Top government sources told WION, "No major aggressive activity seen in last 5-6 days by Chinese at LAC." Thursday will mark one week since Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi met in Moscow for over 2 hours.

Days after India-China foreign ministers talks, situation remains tense at LAC

Days after Indian and Chinese foreign ministers met on the sidelines of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, situation remains unchanged at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh. A government source told WION that while situation remains "quiet" at the LAC, "no major movement has been seen by the Chinese troops". The source confirmed that build up by Chinese troops remains along the LAC.

Rajnath Singh holds meeting to review LAC situation with NSA, CDS

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday held a high-level meeting to review the situation at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) amid heightened border tensions with China. NSA Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and the three services chiefs and top Defence Ministry officials are attending the high-level meeting at the South Block office. The meeting also coincides with India, China Brigade commanders-level interaction which is underway at the LAC in eastern Ladakh since 11 am on Friday (September 11, 2020) morning.

China plotting conspiracy against India as it deploys 3 battalions along LAC

Amid the simmering tensions between Indian and Chinese troops at Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, China has started deploying its soldiers in large numbers near the LAC. On Monday, the Indian Army succeeded in foiling the incursion of People's Liberation Army (PLA) into Mukhri area of Chushul, but more such actions are expected from China in the coming days. On September 1, China had deployed a battalion of the PLA Ground Force near Rechin La at LAC and has also deployed two battalions near the Spangur lake.
