There is tension between India and China in Ladakh for the last two years. Both of the armies are face to face on LAC. Meanwhile, now in the Indian Ocean also, a vigorous trial has started between the two countries. China has started trade with Singapore through the Bay of Bengal. A five-point agreement was reached between Jaishankar and Wang at a meeting in Moscow on September 10, 2020, on the sidelines of a SCO conclave. The pact included measures like quick disengagement of troops, avoiding action that could escalate tensions, and steps to restore peace along the Line of Actual Control.
The disengagement of Indian and Chinese troops from Pangong lake at Line of Actual Control (LAC) concludes. The first phase of the disengagement which was announced last week has come to an end. The 10th round of talks between senior commanders is scheduled to take place at around 10 am on Saturday.
