Dimuth Karunaratne-led Sri Lanka have won the toss and opted to bat first in their 2019 International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup clash against top-ranked and hosts England at Headingley in Leeds on Friday. Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Perera will open the batting for Sri Lanka while Chris Woakes to begin the proceedings for England.

Jofra Archer and Mark Wood bagged three wickets each to restrict Sri Lanka to a score if 232 for nine in their stipulated 50 overs after skipper Dimuth Karunaratne won the toss and opted to bat first.
