Response to Delhi Dialogue initiative encouraging: AAP

The Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday claimed that within 24 hours of the launch of Delhi Dialogue, social media platforms for this programme have received good response.

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday claimed that within 24 hours of the launch of Delhi Dialogue, social media platforms for this programme have received good response.

"Within 24 hours of the launch of Delhi Dialogue, an initiative to engage with the people on issues that concern their lives, social media platforms for this programme have received an encouraging response and the Dialogue team is now moving to the next step of the series," the party said.

The AAP also said that the results so far have been highly encouraging and claimed that Delhi Dialogue and Youth Dialogue were among the top three India twitter trends during the weekend.

"The party's Facebook page has around 27,000 likes with a total views of more than 1.2 lakh, so far. The website has received 20,000 hits and the Twitter handle has nearly 4,300 followers with mentions and re-tweets (RTs) by more 25,000 people. There have been thousands of registrations on the website and hundreds of discussions on the Delhi Dialogue discuss forums," a party spokesperson said.

According to the party, Delhi Dialogue will now proceed in a phased manner. The lead team will continue deliberations with various sections of the society to highlight the issues concerning their lives, so that these can form an important part of the AAP Delhi manifesto, at the same time, the research team for the Dialogue programme will keep compiling feedback from the people on each respective initiative.

"During the Dialogue for Youth on Sunday at Jantar Mantar, party volunteers received 1,543 questions from the audience. Research team is now working to send responses of the queries received," it added.

The party said the Delhi Dialogue team is now preparing for the next step ? initiatives for women ? which will be unveiled on November 26, the second foundation day of the party.
