February 14, 2025, marked the 6th anniversary of the Pulwama attack, remembered as a black day in India’s history. On this day in 2019, the country faced one of its deadliest terrorist attacks. A suicide bomber targeted a convoy of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the tragic loss of 40 brave soldiers.

On 26 February 2019, the Indian Air Force surprised the world by attacking terrorist camps built in Pakistan. On February 26, 2019, at around 3.30 am, 12 Mirage 2000 fighter jets from the Indian side destroyed the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist camp in Balakot, Pakistan, while crossing the Line of Control. This Air Strike had broken the back of the terrorists.

France carried out an airstrike near the border of Burkina Faso and Niger, killing more than 50 terrorists. Terrorists killed in this attack were from Al Qaeda.

Addressing a seminar titled “Air Power in ‘No War No Peace’ Scenario”, organised by Centre for Air Power Studies on the first anniversary of Balakot airstrikes, in the national capital. 

Just a day after the anniversary of Balakot airstrikes, the Indian Air Force on Thursday (February 27) posted two videos highlighting the duties of IAF.

Asked about the operation being named "Bandar", the former Air Marshal recalled that it was instead a codeword to convey the success of the mission.

The recent violence in the northeast districts of Delhi is being seen as the handiwork of the ISI. Intelligence sources claimed that the sleeper cells of underworld and ISI agents in India are funding few Indian social media handles and websites to promote fake news to bring instability in the country. 

Dhanoa pointed out that after the air-strike, there were no major terrorist attacks during the Lok Sabha polls because it acted as a deterrent. He said the mission has not been declassified yet.

The major events include - India conducting airstrikes at a terror camp at Balakot in Pakistan, repeal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and enactment of Citizenship Amendment Act, Ayodhya verdict, the final list of NRC was published in Assam, Karatarpur Corridor was opened and the triple talaq bill passed.
