Karnataka CM Yediyurappa discharged from hospital after recovering from COVID

He had tested positive on August 2 and said that while he is fine, he is being hospitalised as a precaution on the recommendation of doctors. According to the Union Health Ministry on Monday morning, Karnataka has 80,981 active coronavirus cases, while 93,908 patients have recovered.

He said the state is going to follow 5Ts - trace, track, test, treat, and technology to check the rising number of coronavirus cases. CM stated that more than 80 % of COVID patients are asymptomatic and there is no need for hospitalisation of asymptomatic patients. He also urged the opposition leaders to give suggestions instead of criticising the government and politicising the issue.
