The IT major had registered a net profit of Rs 3,982 crore in the October-December 2020 quarter. The company's revenue grew 15.7 per cent to Rs 22,331 crore in the quarter under review. The profit after tax for the third quarter ended December 2021 was higher by USD 59.4 million (Rs 438 crore).

The IT major had registered a net profit of Rs 3,154 crore in the January-March 2020 quarter. Its revenue grew 5.7 per cent to Rs 19,642 crore in the quarter under review. For FY21, HCL Tech's consolidated net profit increased 17.6 per cent to Rs 13,011 crore.

HCL Tech declares one-time bonus worth over Rs 700 crore for staff

The special bonus will be paid to employees in February 2021, amounting to nearly USD 90 million plus payroll taxes in some countries, the impact of which is excluded from FY21 EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) guidance provided by the company last month, HCL Tech said in a statement.
