A horrific road accident took place in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi on Sunday and a bus going to Yamunotri fell into a gorge. All the passengers on the bus are residents of Panna in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh has reached Dehradun and may visit the spot. Apart from this, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami can also visit the spot.
The accident took place between Damta and Barnigad, which is around 70 km from Yamunotri Dham at around 7.15 pm. The bodies of 26 pilgrims have been retrieved while four others injured are undergoing treatment at Damta Primary Health Centre for first aid. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached Dehradun on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday to take stock of relief operation.
