New Delhi: Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh, who had gone to Bihar's Buxar to take part in a private programme, was attacked by a mob of rowdy audience members during the event. As per reports, Pawan Singh has sustained injuries on his head while the car in which he was travelling, was badly damaged by the attackers.

The security personnel present at the event helped the Bhojpuri superstar to evacuate safely from the scene. After the incident, Pawan Singh reached back to Benaras where the shooting of his film 'Boss' was underway.

Talking about the incident, the actor said that an atmosphere is being created across Bihar that actors do not reach out to general public and audience. However, he said that he will continue to meet his followers as he has reached this scale only because of their love. In the meantime, he called for a high-level investigation into the matter.

It is to be noted that last month, actor Khesari Lal Yadav was also attacked while performing at an event in Vaishali district in Bihar. His car was also pelted with stones from the mob. Speaking about the incident at Vaishali district, the actor shared a video on the social media where he condemned the attacked and said that the event was organised to honour the martyrs.

Expressing his anger at the incident, the Bhojpuri star stated that he went to honour the martyers at the event and not to spread pornography there.
