London: ‘The Lord of the Rings’ films’ director Peter Jackson is considering using high-end technology to remake the classic 1954 film ‘The Dam Busters’ so that viewers may feel as if bouncing bombs are leaping out at them."I think a World War Two bombing raid in 3D would be neat," the Telegraph quoted him as saying.
Jackson is presently shooting experimental three-dimensional aerial footage in New Zealand.
If his trials go well, he may remake The Dam Busters as the first war film to be shot using the new technology.
The film commemorates the raids on key German dams during the Second World War.
Christian Rivers, the man behind the animation in Jackson`s version of King Kong, is said to be assisting him on the 24million-pound project.
Jackson says that he wants viewers to feel his film to be "as authentic as possible and as close to the spirit of the original as possible".
