Aamir Khan’s ‘Rangeela’ sequel in the pipeline? Ram Gopal Varma has an answer

Speculations have been rife that Aamir Khan's 'Rangeela' would have a sequel soon. But RGV has put all rumours to rest.

Mumbai: Like ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, Aamir Khan starrer ‘Rangeela’ also happens to be one of the most successful films produced in the 1990s. The rom-com, directed by Ram Gopal Varma had made Urmila Matondkar every man’s dream woman, and Aamir, the adorable street-smart Munna.

Speculations have been rife that the film would have a sequel soon. But RGV has put all rumours to rest.

On being asked about the sequel to ‘Rangeela’, during the launch of ‘Sarkar 3’ trailer Wednesday evening, RGV said, “No that isn't true.”

‘Rangeela’ was one of those films in that era that was a commercially successful besides being critically acclaimed.

RGV's upcoming film "Sarkar 3" is the third instalment of the "Sarkar" franchise and the trailer of the film has received a positive response.
