New Delhi: Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmavati finally gets a long-awaited clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). It has reportedly given a UA certificate to the film without any cuts but has suggested that the director change the film's title to Padmavat besides making four other modifications.

Padmavati features Deepika Padukone in the titular role as Rani Padmini, Shahid Kapoor plays Maharawal Ratan Singh whereas Ranveer Singh will be seen as Alauddin Khilji.
The film was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on December 1, 2017, but after facing major protests across the nation by fringe groups, its release date was pushed ahead for indefinite time.
Now that CBFC has given it a green signal, we can't wait for the new release date to be announced soon.
