New Delhi: Violence took over the streets on Friday when Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted in a rape case. Out of the 38 deaths, 11 people were identified so far as being from Punjab. Coincidentally, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt was shooting in Patiala for her upcoming film 'Raazi' when the clashes broke.

According to a DNA report, originally attributed to Mid-Day, the cast/crew of the movie stayed inside their hotel over the weekend. "They were discussing how it would be in everyone's best interests to put off the shoot till Monday. There is a possibility of things spiralling out of control after the sentencing," a source was quoted as saying.

However, it is still not confirmed when the shooting will be resumed.
