John Abraham's Parmanu comes back in form, crosses Rs 60 crore mark

John Abraham and Diana Penty-starrer 'Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran' has ticked the right boxes it seems. The audiences have given it a thumbs up and critics too approved of the effort put in to make the venture.

New Delhi: John Abraham and Diana Penty-starrer 'Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran' has ticked the right boxes it seems. The audiences have given it a thumbs up and critics too approved of the effort put in to make the venture. 

Though the film business suffered a bit after the release of Salman's high-octane action drama, it got back to track on Saturday. The film has now grossed Rs 60 crore mark at the Box Office. 

Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and shared the figures. He wrote: "#Parmanu comes in form on fourth Sat, with #Eid festivities helping growth… Crosses ₹ 60 cr mark... [Week 4] Fri 36 lakhs, Sat 83 lakhs. Total: ₹ 60.05 cr. India biz... Running in 318 cinemas / 464 shows per day." 

The story of 'Parmanu'has been written by Saiwyn Quadras, Sanyuktha Chawla Sheikh and Abhishek Sharma. The film features John Abraham, Diana Penty, Boman Irani, Darshan Pandya to name a few. 'Parmanu' was earlier slated to release on December 8, 2017, but got pushed ahead.

'Parmanu' is based on the nuclear bomb test explosions conducted by the Indian Army at Pokhran in 1998. The film is produced by Zee Studio and JA Entertainment. It hit the screens on May 25, 2018.

The viewers have given it a warm reception and the numbers are expected to go up in the coming days. With the film inching closer to hit the Rs 60 crore mark, it has already been a profitable venture for the makers.
