Kapil Sharma reacts to Farah Khan’s ‘mannerless’ remark

Mumbai: Kapil Sharma, who has already had a very challenging year so far, has reacted to Farah Khan’s ‘mannerless’ remark. The star comedian, whose recently released home production - Firangi – has proved to be a dud at the Box Office, had organised a special screening of the film last week for friends and colleagues in the film industry. But his WhatsApp invite didn’t go well with Farah.

Reacting to Farah’s comment, Kapil reportedly said that “in whatever way I thought correct I had invited all my friends from the film industry (sic).”

According to a report in skjbollywoodnews.com, Kapil said: “We had a show on Thursday. In whatever way I thought correct I had invited all my friends from the  film industry. It was mostly attended by cast crew and our friends and family. I hope my big powerful friends in the  film industry will see the film later.”

Firangi director Rajiev Dhingra too defended Kapil and said, “I don’t understand this negativity surrounding Kapil. Why is he being treated like this? Could it be he has offended important people  by just being who he is? Even the reviews for  Firangi are pretty harsh.I don’t think we deserve  such condemnation.”

Farah, the choreographer-turned-filmmaker took to Twitter on November 30, to post a cryptic tweet addressing all those people who she thinks are “mannerless”. She was clearly displaying her displeasure over something that she hadn’t really expected from them. She was apparently miffed with people who sent her invites for attending premieres/previews and parties by sending her a “janta invite” (probably she was referring to broadcast/bulk  messages on WhatsApp.

She wrote, “Dear Mannerless people,if u want me 2 attend ur premier/preview/party DON,T send me a “ janta invite” on WhatsApp! U r not doing me a favour! The least u can do is make a personal call. If u cant find the time for it what makes u think i hav time 2 get ready n cm for you??! (sic).”

According to a report in SpotBoyE.com, Farah said, “It was not just Kapil Sharma. There were two to three other events happening on the same day. I was referring to all of them.”
