Mumbai: After unveiling three the first look posters of Dhadak – a film that marks the Bollywood debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter – on Wednesday, Karan Johar took to Twitter Thursday morning to share a brand new poster of the film.

Check it out here:

For uninitiated, Janhvi is veteran actress Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s elder daughter while Ishaan Khatter is Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother. Both these youngsters hail from film families and have acting in their genes. Ishaan had already made headlines soon after he was roped in by internationally acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi for a film titled Beyond the Clouds.

Johar surprised fans by making an unexpected announcement about the film on November 15. Though there were reports suggesting that Janhvi and Ishaan were on board Sairat remake, Johar remained tight-lipped about it.

The producer-director took to Twitter to share a video ahead of the launch of the first look posters of the film. He said, “Five years ago, Siddharth , Varun and Alia joined the Dharma family and as we speak, they are scintillating stars of the movie industry. Today, we are about to extend our family. We are about to present two new actors, Details will be out at 5PM. It’s from the director of Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. What’s the name of the film? Let me just give you a hint – my heart is beating faster! Watch this space.”

Coming back to Ishaan’s Bollywood debut, Dhadak is an official remake of Nagraj Manule’s Marathi blockbuster Sairat featuring newcomers Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar. The film created waves at the Box Office and struck an emotional chord with the audience.

Janhvi and Ishaan are all set to recreate the same magic in Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak which is slated to release on July 6, 2018.

The film has been jointly produced by Zee Studious and Dharma Productions.
