New Delhi: After creating a huge buzz on the social media, with its impeccable first looks of lead actors, Padmavati was the top trend on Twitter. Ranveer Singh's intense look as Sultan Alauddin Khilji found many takers, where some loved it others turned it into hilarious memes.
However, veteran actor Raza Murad, who will be seen playing Jalaluddin Khilji in Padmavati took to Facebook on October 3—the same day when Ranveer's poster was unveiled and shared his look as well.
But soon he deleted it. He wrote on FB, “This is my look in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s ‘Padmavati‘. I am playing Jalaluddin Khilji who was the first ruler of Khilji dynasty in India. He ruled India (1290-1296) for six years and was killed by his paternal nephew and son in law, Alauddin Khilji, who took over the throne after killing his uncle and father in law. Ranveer Singh has played Allaudin Khilji. ‘Padmavati’ is obviously Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor is Rawal Ratan Singh, Ruler of Chittor, Deepika’s husband. The film would be released on 1st December, all over the world.”
There is no official word from the senior star as to why he deleted his post. Padmavati stars Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini, Shahid Kapoor plays Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer will be seen as fierce Alauddin Khilji respectively.
Padmavati will hit the screens on December 1, 2017.
