Panipat: Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer goes on floors

New Delhi: Filming of Ashutosh Gowariker's next, 'Panipat' starring Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon has begun. The film is slated for a December 6, 2019 release and is produced by Sunita Gowariker and Rohit Shelatkar.

Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on Twitter.

He wrote, “Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon... Ashutosh Gowariker begins filming of historical #Panipat... Produced by Sunita Gowariker and Rohit Shelatkar... 6 Dec 2019 release.”

'Panipat' is based on the third battle of Panipat and also features Padmini Kolhapure and Mohnish Bahl in pivotal roles. The first teaser poster of the film was released in March this year. The music is being composed by duo Ajay and Atul and the lyrics have been penned by Javed Akhtar.

A couple of days back, reports were that Arjun will be shaving off his head for the film. The actor plays Sadashiv Rao Bhau and the role requires him to get away with his curly wavy locks completely.

Arjun will not be the first actor from B-Town to sport a bald look for the role. Previously, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Shahid Kapoor and Arjun Rampal among others have donned the bald look to add weight to their characters. Apart from these mainstream heroes, several actresses too got rid of their long tresses to do justice to their roles. Shabana Azmi, Antara Mali and Tanuja to name a few!
