Rajinikanth's 2.0 continues to dominate Box Office

The Hindi version of '2.0' has been giving an impressive Box Office collections figures.

New Delhi: Megastar Rajinikanth and Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's much-anticipated project 2.0 is doing wonders at the Box Office. Despite getting mixed reviews, the film has cruised past the coveted 100 crores mark at domestic Box Office alone in mere five days of its release.

Continuing its dream run at the Box Office, '2.0' collected Rs 11.50 crore on Tuesday and stands with the net collection of Rs 122.50 crore. The collections are specifically for the Hindi version of the film. 

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#2Point0 sets the BO on (fire emoji)... Double digits yet again on Day 6 [Tue]… The trending on weekdays is EXCELLENT... Thu 20.25 cr, Fri 18 cr, Sat 25 cr, Sun 34 cr, Mon 13.75 cr, Tue 11.50 cr. Total: Rs 122.50 cr. India biz. Note: HINDI version."

'2.0' is written and directed by S Shankar. This happens to be the first Indian film that is directly shot in 3D. '2.0' is a sequel to superhit 2010 Tamil film 'Enthiran' which had Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead.

The sci-fi drama shows Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Vaseegaran and Chitti, alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson.

The film was released worldwide in both 3D and conventional format on November 29 along with its dubbed version in Hindi and Telugu. Academy award winning music maestro AR Rahman has composed music for the film. 

'2.0' happens to be the most expensive Indian film being made to date at a budget of Rs 543 crore.
