Secret Superstar movie tweet review

Mumbai: Zaira Wasim, the immensely talented actor, who made her debut with Aamir Khan starrer Dangal last year, is back on screen with her second film Secret Superstar. The teenager, who bagged a National Award for her role as young Geeta Phogat in the Best Supporting Actor (Female) category, plays Insia, an ambitious singer in the film.

Directed by Advait Chandan, Secret Superstar, a film produced byAamir’s production house also stars the Bollywood heavyweight. Aamir plays a flashy musician - Shakti Kumaarr in the film.

The film narrates the story of a young girl from a conservative family who dreams of becoming a famous singer.

Talking about the film a few weeks back, Aamir said, “Secret Superstar' as the title in the film refers to Zaira and of course, Zaira is a huge star but it's no longer a secret. She was a secret superstar until 'Dangal' had released. But I must tell you that 'Secret Superstar' has got many secret superstars in it.”

“Slowly one by one we will be revealing each one of the superstars as we go along this journey and Advait is certainly one of them. When you see the film you'll realise what a beautiful story he has written and how well he had made the film," he added.
