'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' comes under CBFC scanner - Check out cuts

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's upcoming release 'Toilet- Ek Prem Katha', which is slated to release on August 11 this year, has reportedly been ordered a few verbal cuts by Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

As per the online buzz, four expletives including ‘har**mi’ won't be making it to the final cut of the flick. It is being said that the movie has to implement these cuts before getting a ‘UA’ certificate.

“In one sequence, Akshay Kumar is heard telling his screen-wife, ‘Tumne mujhe teen baar jagaya hai. Main koi saand hoon kya (you’ve woken me up thrice…am I a bull?)’. In another sequence, a character says, 'he goes to pee with a rassi (thread) around his ears". He means the sacred janeyu worn by Brahmins. And we saw no reason for something with such sanctity attached to it being referred to so facetiously,” a DNA report quoted a source as saying.

'Toilet - Ek Prem Katha' also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Anupam Kher and Divyendu Sharma in prominent roles. The Shree Narayan Singh directorial is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'.
