Britons unadventurous with food: Study

Britons are "unadventurous" with food and over half of the population has no interest in eating new dishes.

London: Britons are "unadventurous" with food and over half of the population has no interest in eating new dishes and would also not encourage their children to do the same, says a new study.
The study carried out by Capricorn Goats Cheese said one fifth of British citizens have never tried an olive, asparagus or aubergine, said a daily. Nearly 70 percent said they would refuse to try food such as liver or sushi, even if it was bought, prepared and served to them for free. Though pork and lamb are considered "traditional" British dishes, one in 20 people has never tried either. One third of adults do not like to eat fish, the study said. Chips and burgers are, however, very popular among children. Around 75 percent of children aged two tried chips and 30 percent have eaten burgers. IANS
