New Delhi: With an aim to  strengthen its presence in the ‘top of pyramid’ full-size luxury sedan segment, German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch the new S400 in India.

The vehicle will be launched on March 29.

The S400 with a new petrol engine will offer a combination power and luxurious appointments.
 
The S400 is powered by a 3-litre V6 petrol engine churning maximum torque of 480Nm and power of 324bhp.

It is paired to a 7-speed or a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

The company earlier said it is driven by the philosophy of 'winning' in 2016, with a spate of 12 new products and 10 new dealerships.

The German carmaker had posted a record sales of 13,502 units in India in 2015 compared with 10,201 units in 2014, a significant jump of 32 percent, Mercedes-Benz India.
