Aditya happy to host television shows

Aditya, who recently made his B'wood debut says he likes hosting shows on TV.

Mumbai: Singer-turned-actor, Aditya Narayan, who recently made his Bollywood debut in Vikram Bhatt`s `Shaapit`, says television soaps do not excite him but he would love to continue hosting shows on the small screen.
"I would love to host shows on television and will continue to do so.. but not acting. I feel the script...the story line for television serials is not that attractive," Aditya told reporters. The 22-year-old actor began his first professional outing as an anchor for musical show `Sa Re Ga Ma Pa` in 2007. "I got recognition from `Sa Re`.. it was a great platform me on television. But as far as acting in daily soaps is concerned, I believe the plots usually lose their link and thereby fail to drive the audiences at later stages," he said. Aditya, son of noted playback singer Udit Narayan, has been closely associated with the world of showbiz since he was four and feels acting comes to him naturally. "I started my journey in the industry as a singer, acted in a couple of films as a child actor, became a TV show host and now acting in films as a lead actor," he said. The young actor, who is keen on working with Bollywood biggies and idolises megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan, said he is flooded with loads of scripts from romance... to horror to thriller and comedy. "I have received a couple of offers from almost all genres, and I am still thinking which one to go for." PTI
