Jim Carrey’s daughter Jane auditions for ‘American Idol’

Washington: Jim Carrey’s daughter Jane auditioned for the US singing reality show ‘American Idol’ on Sunday night.

Carrey performed ‘Something to Talk About’ in front of judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson who all voted her through to the next round of the current competition. The 24-year-old said it was hard growing up in her famous father`s shadow but she wanted to give fame a shot on her own. “It is difficult kind of growing up in the shadow of something and trying to find your place in the world underneath this huge shadow,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying. Lopez in particular was stunned when she hit the audition stage onboard the U.S.S. Midway, as she was a dancer on Carrey’s comedy show ‘In Living Color’ when Jane was a baby. “I remember you when you were little. “Do you remember me? I was one of the Fly Girls,” Lopez said. “I think I was, like, two,” Carrey said. ANI
