Mumbai: Veteran music composer Pyarelal of the Laxmikant-Pyarelal duo enthralled listeners at a live concert here.
Pyarelal last evening recreated the magic of his ever-green songs of 60s, 70s and 80s with more than 125 musicians and singers, including Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik, Kavitha Krishnamurthy, Sudesh Bhosle, Shail Hada, Srikant Kulkarni and Vibhavari Joshi in a concert titled `Maestros`.
Kavitha said, "I felt as if I am at the recording hall of Mehboob Studio with my musical family. Laxmikant and Pyarelal are my gurus and whatever I am today, the credit for this goes to songs they gave me." Before singing the hit song "Jumma Chumma De De..." Sudesh Bhosle said, "This song gave me a new identity. When Laxmiji and Pyareji offered this song they predicted that it will change my life, and they were right. Whatever I am today is because of this song." Before presenting the song `My Name Is Anthony Gonsalvis...`, Pyarelal said that this song was created to pay tribute to his guru, Anthony Gonsalvis. PTI
