Shah Rukh Khan to host ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’ once again

Fun filled reality show ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’, which has been on air for nearly a week now, will once again be hosted by Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh. Apparently, ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’ has garnered TRP of 2.6 points in its first episode and a total of 2.8 points as the week’s average. However, the channel is unfazed by low TRPs and is all set to have another edition of the game based reality show, which will be produced by Endemol.

Mumbai: Fun filled reality show ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’, which has been on air for nearly a week now, will once again be hosted by Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan. Apparently, ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’ has garnered TRP of 2.6 points in its first episode and a total of 2.8 points as the week’s average. However, the channel is unfazed by low TRPs and is all set to have another edition of the game based reality show, which will be produced by Endemol. Talking to a daily, Nikhil Madhok from the channel said, “We haven’t spoken to Shah Rukh for the second season. After watching the response, we will have one. Since it is an expensive show, we will need to work out the timing in such a way that it doesn’t burn too big a hole in the channel’s pocket. So, we’ll either have the sequel well within this year or in the beginning of 2012. SRK will be back in Season 2.” Interestingly, the TRP figures of ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’ are the channel’s biggest opening so far says Madhok. “We’re now on No. 2 in the 9 pm to 10 pm slot. We’ve done well in most territories except Maharashtra. The Northern belt has recorded ratings as high as 3 and 4 points. That’s reason enough for us to believe that our show has got the eyeballs and it will get better as we proceed,” adds Madhok. However, Madhok is not ready to accept the low TRP’s of the show in comparison to the other reality shows hosted by Bollywood stars. On being reasoned on the same he said, “Those channels were already leading the market place, whereas we were not even inching towards 100 points. Naturally, if they have a larger audience base, their shows will open better. But with Shah Rukh on our side, we know we’ll soar higher with this season. The next one will be a cracker too!”
