Gold, silver imports dip 71.42%

Gold and silver imports dipped 71.42 percent to USD 1.63 billion in February from year earlier.

India's exports declined 3.67 percent to USD 25.68 billion in February.

Imports fell 17.09 percent to USD 33.81 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of USD 8.13 billion.

For the April-February period, exports were up 4.79 percent to USD 282.7 billion, according to data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Imports during the 11-month period fell 8.65 percent to USD 410.86 billion. The trade deficit during this period was USD 128 billion.

Oil imports in February declined 3.1 percent to USD 13.69 billion.
