Abhishek Bachchan all set to show his business acumen

It’s time for Abhishek Bachchan to take care of the family business as well as his acting career! News has it that post the Box Office success of Amitabh-Abhishek starrer ‘Paa’, Bachchans’ have decided that AB Corp will co-produce or distribute all the future films starring Jr B. It is widely believed that from now onwards, AB Corp will own full or partial stakes in most of the films associated with Abhishek Bachchan.

Mumbai: It’s time for Abhishek Bachchan to take care of the family business as well as his acting career! News has it that post the Box Office success of Amitabh-Abhishek starrer ‘Paa’, Bachchans’ have decided that AB Corp will co-produce or distribute all the future films starring Jr B.
Interestingly, Saraswati Creations, a part of Bachchans’ in-house banner, has a stake in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ravana.’ The film is co-produced by Mani Ratnam and is being presented by Reliance Big Entertainment. However, Abbas Mustan’s Bollywood remake of Abhishek starrer ‘The Italian Job’ is produced by Studio 18 and its overseas distribution will be handled by AB Corp. Grapevine has it that the Bachchans have a stake in Goldie Behl’s upcoming film starring Abhi. It is widely believed that from now onwards, AB Corp will own full or partial stakes in most of the films associated with Abhishek Bachchan. Talking to a news daily, a trade source said, “Even during ‘Paa’, it was Abhishek who took most of the major business decisions including curtailing costs. Now his home banner has decided to acquire the rights of his films either for satellite/overseas distribution or even on a partnership basis.’’ When enquired Big B whether AB Corp will buy most of Abhishek’s films or hold a stake in it, the millennium superstar said, “No, not necessarily.” Well, trade pundits believe that AB Corp will try acquiring full or partial rights of Abhishek’s future films.
