Apple is, according to rumours, is officially bringing in its latest offering of the iPhone to India on October 26.
According to BGR India, the iPhone-maker is set to introduce the new smartphone in the country on the last Friday of the month.
This time around Apple is expected to introduce its own distribution channel for an unlocked version for the iPhone 5.
And where the pricing is concerned, the iPhone 5 is expected to sell around the Rs 45,000 mark like its predecessor, the iPhone 4s.
Rediff Shopping, eBay India and Tradus are selling the iPhone 5 early and while Rediff is pegging the 16GB iPhone 5 model at the lowest price tag of Rs 54,990, Tradus is selling the same model at Rs 59,500.
iPhone 5 is the thinnest and lightest iPhone till now and features a new four-inch retina display and an Apple-designed A6 chip.
It comes either in white and silver or black and slate, and is available in the US for a suggested retail price of USD 199, for the 16GB model and USD 299 for the 32GB model and USD 399 for the 64GB model.
