Hugh Jackman hints at future role as James Bond

Melbourne: Australian actor Hugh Jackman has hinted that he might play the role of British spy James Bond in the future.

According to the Sunday Express newspaper, Jackman who is London for the making of his new film ‘Les Miserables’ admitted that he was approached in the past to play the role but he refused due to prior commitments. “I got a call from my agent saying ‘there’s some possible interest in you for Bond, are you interested’?” news.com.au quoted him as saying. “At the time I wasn’t. I was about to shoot X-Men 2 and Wolverine had become this thing in my life.” “But I think every male at some point thinks about playing Bond. So it was not right then but it may be right if it comes back.” “As an actor you’ve got to keep taking risks,” he added. ANI
