London: Late Katharine Hepburn’s Connecticut mansion and estate has been put on the market for a whooping 28 million dollars.
It is located on the Atlantic coast, boasts of six bedrooms, and had been the property of the Hepburn family from 1913 till the ‘African Queen’ actress died in 2003. According to the Wall Street Journal, Barbara and Frank Sciame bought the estate in 2004 for 6 million dollars with the intention of renovating it and selling it on, reports the Daily Mail. Sciame has divided the estate into three sections for the sale, which would be available for purchase both together or separately. The largest section, worth 18 million dollars, features the house and private dock on Long Island Sound, which runs along 680 feet of waterfront. The colonial style home, which is listed on William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, features eight bathrooms, a dramatic hallway and a grand sweeping staircase. It also has high ceilings and 8,300 square feet of floor space. ANI
